President/C.E.O.
Jared is the Founder and CEO of Jester Communications. He is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a Graphic Design concentration. With an eye for detail, he is the visionary leader setting the tone for excellence at Jestercom since it's founding in 2000. Jared has built a solid reputation through premium design and functionality for some of the largest manufacturers in the world.
Senior Advisor/Director
Tom Reed has lived on Hilton Head for 21 years with his wife Cindy. He has been actively involved in the business community and is the former CEO of Hargray Communications, where he still serves on the Board of Directors. He also is active with Morningstar Management and Jester Communications. His hobby is writing novels and is working on getting published in his spare time.
Technical Advisor/Director
Chris has been designing software for the last 13 years. He has helped establish Jester Communications as the leader in distributed software solutions for the marine industry with his expertise in cloud based services and distributed data management. His background is in web programming, web application design, UI design, and mobile development. He’s been with Jester Communication since 2008, working on, and overseeing, all technical aspects of the company. Before that, Chris worked with several other organizations working on database design management and other forms of software development.
Senior Creative Director
Travis earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (with a Graphic Design concentration) degree from Winthrop University. Travis is widely recognized for his diverse media expertise, branding ability, and unrivaled logo and website designs. He has significant experience in designing presentations, collateral, websites, managing freelancers, supervising photo shoots, developing trade show booths, performing press checks, illustration (e.g. maps, logos, etc.) and digitally enhancing photography. Travis has served as a designer for many reputable organizations including John Deere, Pinkerton Services Group, and Anderson Communications Group before going into work for himself. After six years as an independent designer, Travis joined Spirer Communications firm as Senior Art Director. While with Spirer, Stephenson developed a $3MM award-winning branding / ad campaign for Brunswick Forest prior to coming on board Jester Communications as Senior Creative Director.
Engineering Operations and Testing
Mr. Prancan has more than 24 years experience in managing testing in research and development environments before coming to Jester Communications. Mr. Prancan has served as a consultant to Houghton Mifflin Publishing -Technology Division, but most of his extensive experience was gained in helping 2 startups grow from startups into medium-sized, successful companies. There Mr. Prancan managed engineer divisions at Bay Networks Systems Test Group and Avici Systems. Mr. Prancan brings in-depth knowledge of hardware and software product life cycles, and extensive experience developing and maintaining test processes that insured real world simulation and 99.999% uptime. He has extensive knowledge of building automation test groups – including Stress, Performance, Scaling, Regression testing. Mr. Prancan holds two Masters of Science degrees, Physics from University of Denver and Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Illinois, Chicago.
Content/Project Manager
Robb graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Economics from Barton College in Wilson, NC. After graduation, Robb moved to Hilton Head Island, SC and was hired as the Marketing Director for two championship golf courses before accepting a position with Frey Media, a highly regarded publishing firm within the golf industry. There he rose to become the Director of Interactive Media/e-Commerce, overseeing the companies online and e-commerce growth in 22 markets across North America with annual revenues over $3 million. In 2012, Robb joined Jester Communications as the Project manager, working directly with the client throughout the application development, national distribution & dealer support processes.
Controller
Jessica’s accounting career began in 2006 working directly under a Certified Public Accountant as an assistant quickly earning the role of Staff Accountant, with several direct clients. From there, she went on to become an Accounting Manager for a local business in Bluffton, SC. She created the company’s first budget projections and helped them attain record high profit margins. In addition, Jessica launched her own private accounting service for several businesses in the area. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management and is also currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Accountancy. Jessica has been with Jester Communications since March 2012.
Developer
In 2010, Joe Wright earned a BA from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He’s worked on web applications since 2006, and continues to learn and improve his skills with Jestercom. His responsibilities include the development of server-side applications, managing infrastructure, and improving client-side projects. Joe has been working with Jester Communications since October 2011.
Design
Chase graduated with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011. In January 2012, he joined Jester Communications as a design intern showing he had the talent and creativity to be a team member. After 10 weeks he became a full-time designer and continues to grow in his skill set. Chase has helped Jestercom become the award winning design house that it is today.
Developer
Elisa earned her Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University, GA. During her sophomore year in college she did an Internship with Memorial University Medical Center where she was part of the development team that created the hospitals infrastructure, Horizon Ambulatory Care (HAC). She was responsible for data conversions and the development of the GUI. After graduation, Elisa joined Jester Communications in mid October 2012, as an intern, she was hired in January 2013 to work in the Developing Department.
Design
Kaitlyn graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design in November 2012. She has worked with various media as a freelance designer since 2008. Kaitlyn began as an intern and was later hired at Jester Communications in January 2013.
Developer
Brant has been developing front-end work professionally and freelance for the better part of 10 years. He has a degree in Web Development as well as certifications including Web Programmer Levels I & II. He has developed numerous award winning sites, including a second place finish in Google's nationwide Juicy Ideas competition in 2011. His experience includes database development and management, server side technology implementations, server system architecture and cloud infrastructure.
Sales
Philip Burckhalter graduated from Clemson University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, with a minor in finance. Immediately after graduation, “Phil” took a role as a Financial Representative in Greenville, NC, for roughly a year and a half before moving to Charleston, SC. There he was a Mortgage Consultant for Homeowners Mortgage. In early 2013, he brought his sales and finance background to Jestercom and joined the team as a Sales Associate.
Sales
Patrick's career has mostly been in the Sales & Marketing areas. Straight out of College he started his own sailboat dealership and rental operation. After selling his business he went to work for Catalina Yachts in California, as their Sales & Marketing Executive. At that time, the largest sailboat manufacturer in the world. While at Catalina, he won varies prestigious Awards from Sail America and the NMMA for Best Product and Outstanding Booth Displays. Patrick became President of Eastern Yacht Sales, where he doubled their sales in less than a year. Before coming to Jester, he was an Independent Consultant specializing in setting up and evaluating Dealer networks, web design, social media & sales staff evaluations.
