Jestercom creates experiences for web users by developing robust and interactive websites that are heavily concentrated on design and form. At Jestercom, our specialties lie in system architecture, interactive design, flash animation, complex data integration and rich media delivery. Our passion is to define communication using web and interactive to create experiences that become the prevailing source of growth for leading companies. As an interactive design and development agency, our job is to pioneer dynamic multimedia experiences.
Jester Communications business processes are derived from our accumulated experience in building dynamic and interactive websites and applications. Each and every Jestercom project is taken through a set of defined and proven processes where conceptual thinking and abstract thought is morphed into a tangible product. Our process is a natural progression that funnels opinions into a cohesive end result that commands attention, captures excitement, and provides actual results.
The Information Architecture phase is essential to every Jestercom project. As a client, you will have a deep understanding of the core values and functions of your business and the objectives you need to achieve. Jestercom and the client work in collaboration to develop solutions to challenges, where the client shares business targets and Jestercom taps our marketing and design expertise to create a project map. After getting an understanding of the client’s business structure, it’s crucial that we establish and clearly characterize the strategic objectives. Without knowing where we’re going, it’s almost impossible to draft a map to get there. The end goal significantly impacts the decisions we make along the way, and how we construct the architecture.
Jester Communications takes the end goals, marketing demographics, strategic objectives, and client ideas to develop the technical specifications, which will ultimately help us create Information Architecture that will serve as our map during development. The technical specifications is often a lengthy document that discusses the previously mentioned business and marketing information, as well as specific mechanical and technical information that includes, among other things, web language preferences, features and functionality, database designs, data relationships, content management development, system architecture, and a site map.
Implementation kicks off with a design phase where Jestercom designs several creative concepts. Since we now have a firm grasp on the project goals and the strategic direction, we start the process of conceptualizing various ways to creatively display the information and rich media content. We use innovative and original design concepts to harness strategy, creative vision, and function to produce tangible building blocks for development and project implementation.
Jestercom presents a few design concepts to the client, who will then collaborate with us to refine or re-design until we narrow in on the right design. We use our expertise and accumulated experience to lead the creative decisions during this phase. It’s important that we work with a project manager or decision-maker who understands the objectives and can review concepts at a high-level, while allowing us to make many of the design decisions. This ensures the process doesn’t exceed time and budget constraints by permitting both the client and Jester Communications the ability to realize and utilize our full capabilities and distinct skill sets. Of course, the client signs off on the final design before development begins.
Once the design concept is finalized, development begins. This is typically a very hectic time where all the design elements, interactive parts, rich media segments, and data come together and the project starts to come alive. Our web developers will begin front-end production and implementation of these elements.
During development, designers and developers work together to assemble the design in a painstakingly intense and very technical process. Programmers write and test code while Flash development and integration with other technical elements begins.
Testing and quality assurance is a continuous process during an Jestercom project. Throughout development we are constantly making minor tweaks to enhance the user experience that are often times behind-the-scenes and unnoticeable to the client, but critical to ensuring seamless functionality and usability.
We put in extra effort where needed and willingly exceed projected hours to produce a high quality product. We want to make sure that the project performs as designed and that the user experience will exceed expectations.
When testing is complete and the project is launched, we do an evaluation with the client. This evaluation is a candid discussion of the project, our responsiveness, flexibility, and dedication to success. We focus on how we can improve for our next project together. We realize that you’ll be ready to bring the project to completion, but we relish the opportunity to improve and get critical feedback, so our processes can be polished.
